Favorite figured top wood?

Hard to pick just one.

I have a Clement with a gorgeous piece of burled redwood with sapwood in the middle- stunning!!!

Otherwise, in no particular order
spalted maple
claro walnut
buckeye burl
quilted maple

Obviously the more dramatic the figure, the better.

Nice piece of Bubinga I picked while hangin' out with the Roscoe guys one day.

Bookmatched Koa with a nice streak of sapwood.

I miss all of that lovely Cocobolo.

1. some kind of figured claro walnut with gloss
2. Spalted maple, satin or gloss
3. nicely figured ash again gloss

not a fan of buckeye burl although I've seen some interesting basses killer basses in fact. It's too busy and somethimes looks like hurl :-)

Here is some older pics of the quilted ash tops I had. There were (3) bookmatched tops out of (1) piece of ash....the Elrick's top is not shown...the top with the barked edges is the top for my CallowHill...the other is "being stored".
