Favorite Music-Related Movie?

For me, it's Fish Story (フィッシュストーリ&#12540, a Japanese movie about an ahead-of-their-time punk band who recorded a song that saved the world. I love the portrayal of the band, and of the tiny handful of fans they attracted down the years.

Close Second: Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii. Kind of a quasi-concert/movie. I think it was more or less an excuse for the band to play in an empty Roman Amphitheater while trippin' balls!

grand theft parsons was pretty good, I would add a cult classic " Get Crazy" you can see it in its entirety on youtube, sadly its never been released on DVD. Features Lou Reed, Howard Kaylan, John Densmore. Its worth a look just to see fictitious all female rockers NADA featuring Lee Ving as "Piggy". Bobby Sherman and Fabian are fabulous as Ed Begley jrs. henchmen. Malcolm McDowell as a Rock God is a hilarious send up as well
