Favorite pedal to push the low end

I like using effects when called for but there are some things I don't think pedals are the optimum choice for or the answer to.....the optimum way of getting more pronounced bottom and retaining headroom is more power and an extra cab that can handle that range....once again: Im not anti effects so this isnt a troll post

Definitely don't see this as trolling! I'm super happy with my cab and head, there's just moments that call for a ton of subs in the music that I play and it's not a matter of cranking the amp's low knob or hooking up another cabinet, most of the stages I play have very good sub support. Just more of a matter of finding something that can get those subs sounding especially raunchy.

" — turn down the sensitivity all the way down, the filter locks on to the highs leaving only the lows. Range doesn't matter, when the sensitivity is rolled all the way back, the filter won't open and Range control has no affect.
The other thing you can do is roll the sensitivity back but just to the point where normal playing doesn't come close to opening the filter and really digging in gives that big pulse in the lows but doesn't open the filter all the way. You'll likely want a limiter/compressor but it can be a cool sound too. Laswell plays with flats, I think.

You need a DOD FX-25 Envelope Filter, set so that the filter never triggers. Just massive dubby thuddy bass, Bill Laswell-approved. Looks like they're going for $50-60 these days.

Same I guess for the 545, set it so the filter never triggers.
I read here that it was the 545 that Laswell preferred, but it doesn't matter to me which one he liked, I'd love build an FX25 or a 545. There's some DIY out there for the 25, but I haven't found anything for the 545 save the schematic.
