I've looked into the Solid State Logic SSL 2+, a Rolls 351, or maybe a mixer. Any other options I should consider?
If you don’t need portability, a computer audio interface works great. No need for Bluetooth, 1/8” cables, etc. I use a MOTU M2, the SSL is another good choice. I probably wouldn’t buy one just for practicing, but since I bought it for recording, why not use it for practice, too.
I have software that does high speed rips from YouTube audio as mp3s and load them into transcription software. I can record the output of Spotify to a file but that’s in real time and an extra step compared to ripping from YT.
