im sure there is probably another thread like this, but im wonderin what your guys' favorite solos are. i personaly kinda like the "my generation" solo.

favorite solo

my favorite is the solo in the chili peppers song "stone cold bush" off of their mothers milk album.
since this is in tablature section we should turn this into putting a tab of ur favorite solo

Nature Boy from Pork soda is awesome, the song starts out so slow and then wham hits you with the chorus and then an incredible solo
Not sure if it counts or not...but "Girl Don't Go Away Mad" by Motley Crue....Probably NOT my favorite...but it's up there and I like to play it.

- Jaco's "Jam In E" from his instructional video
- Geddy Lee on "Freewill"
- Ric Fierabracci on "The Rain Must Fall" from "Yanni Live At The Acropolis"
- Vail Johnson on "Midnight Motion" from "Kenny G Live"
- This one, which I recently discovered.

No, man. I thought of transcribing it myself when I discovered that recording many years ago, but never did it. Right now I'm thinking again of doing it since it's definitely a great solo IMO, but don't have so much spare time for it. I'll let you know.
Christian McBride does a cover of summer soft and does a fantastic solo in it. It's my favourite of all time.
gotta love The Awakening by Les Claypool and the Holy Mackerel, also like the bass solo from Naked in the Rain by RHCP.

Video for the last one is up on youtube. It amazes me how he was able to just play that Irish segment all "It ain't no thang like a chicken wing" after almost 40 years of playing rock.
(They did it for Roger Daltrey's 50th birthday)
