Favorite Weird/Random Pedal Names?

That's really cool!! I like the Muff part because it pays homage to the famous pedal and sounds sexual in a clever way without being over the top.

Did you paint it, paint the name on etc?

Speaking of "Muff Slap" my friend suggested "Beaver Spanker"...

I did paint it! I'll post some photos up here later on (maybe. The picture on it is a little suggestive).

It's not really an effects pedal though. The muff refers to something else entirely. All it is is a box with a footswitch. One mode of the switch goes direct from one jack to the other (so it's just a regular signal) and the other has a potentiometer in the line.

Now let me explain. Prior to improving my slap technique, if I went from finger picking to slapping I'd usually go waaaaaay to hard at it and there would be a noticable increase in volume and attack, which sounded out of place in a few songs. So in order to play these songs live I had to MUFFle my SLAP technique. Enter Muff Slap.

So I set the potentiometer to the level I want, play with my fingers until I need to slap, punch in on the pedal and then bam - instant volume drop. Seamless change.

I've since improved my technique, so it's not necessary for slap anymore. But what I've found is that it's perfect to drive a tube amp at low volumes. Of course, the same principle applies. Crank the volume on the amp, set the volume low on the Muff Slap and you get maximum tube overdrive with a lower volume!

I have love for MoogerFoogers. Just no money for Moogerfoogers!!

I have a cat named Cluster, so the new ClusterFlux is pretty appealing to me.

I was actually searching this thread for any reference to the ClusterFlux, in the hopes that I would be the first person to mention it. That said, what about the Lovetone Ring Stinger? The Robot Factory Meatwad? Killer Wail (which is a pedal that apparently no longer exists, even on the used circuit)?

Yeah the ClusterFlux was what I thought of when I read the thread title.

That Star Wars one is pretty damn awesome.

The BBE Soul Vibe has my favorite graphic on a pedal. Always reminds me of The Ladies Man. :)
