The other day I saw these posted on FB so I pounced on it. I really only wanted the cab but the seller wouldn’t sell separately. The players wife wanted them out of the basement. She listed and he didn’t even know what she was asking for them. He seemed a little surprised when she said $100.

Hartke XL series 2.5 bass module 210. Condition is good+, but a little heavy for me. But the price was right.

Ancient 400 series bass amp. This thing belongs in the Peavey museum. Condition is fair, it works as it should. It’s a Peavey, it will survive the apocalypse.
Total investment was $100. I’ll keep the cab and sell the amp, and hopefully recovered my outlay.

I plugged in and did a comparison between the Hartke 210 and my Avatar 210. The sound of the Hartke is definitely superior to the Avatar. I’m not surprised, and I would have been disappointed if it wasn’t. The irony is that I paid more for the Avatar, about 2x. But the Hartke was an incredible deal, so I’m satisfied. Except that it’s heaven. It’s no fridge, but I’m no spring chicken either.
