Feedback etiquette

Some people are jerks , simple as that. I should have more feedback but dont as some wont leave it , I give people a few weeks after it arrives to leave it as i leave it right away if I am the seller and they paid promptly. After a few weeks if they have not left it I PM them , i would say about 40% of the time I have to PM someone to get feedbak left, about 5% of the people wont reply and just wont leave it , some of these people have huge amounts of feedback and in situations like that I dont forget that.

If I sell something, I wait for the buyer to receive it (I track it via UPS) and then contact them via PM to find out if everything is OK. I leave them their positive review only after they acknowledge they are OK with the transaction. That way, I have digital evidence for the moderators and for PayPal if they try to all of a sudden claim the deal was not legitimate.

Just because the buyer paid by PayPal, it doesn't mean the PayPal transaction isn't from a stolen account or they pull a false claim and chargeback because they said didn't get it or it was damaged, (when it wasn't).

My fellow TB's need to know about bad people. That's what the Feedback system is for. Thankfully folks here are WAY more honest then anywhere else

ie.. true story...
I bought a "NIB, factory sealed box" Kenwood stereo. I paid immediately after contracting the sale via PayPal.
it got here in a NOT "factory sealed bx" with no manual, I contacted the seller who said he would email me a PDF. copy -
3 weeks ago. Still no manual.
I am not going to post any feedback until the manual gets here or I figure long enough is long enough and post NEG or Neutral feedback.

note - this is not a story and does NOT pertain to anyone on TB, just to be clear.

In almost all of my transactions, the buyer posts feedback first which is a sign off that they received their goods and are satisfied. Then the seller posts feedback. On eBay it's a crap shoot and I almost never do any business there now.
