FEEDBACK ON MODULUS FLEA BASS

HEY TB, I HAVE SEEN A MODULUS FLEA BASS WITH 2 VILLEX PICKUPS.

I THOUGHT THE FLEA'S ONLY CAME WITH THE ONE BARTOLINI OR WHATEVER PICKUP. THIS BASS HASA JAZZ STYLE SETUP WITH VILLEX.

ANY THOUGHTS?

Where ya been all this time?? As far as the Modulus, I remember that when they first came out, there were some that were loaded with the Villex and some with the Barts. Personally, of the Flea Basses I sold while working at Mars Music (RIP), the Villex-equipped basses sounded WAY better to my ears. I've never seen one with a jazz setup though.

I'm doing great, aside from the white streaks in my hair from some shocking developments in my amp purchasing (just kidding!!). That bass sounds like a rare piece indeed, and I'd snatch it up ASAP.

Flea basses have the option of being MM, or J+J. I've HEARD of an option to have J+MM... but I've never seen it in person, or on the internet.

hey el mon, sorry to hear of your condition. i guess thats what happens when you have a ton of volts flow through you.

i picked this bass up and at an unbelievable price! thats why i was asking. the price seemed to good to be true.

This is the case.

J/J's are somewhat common, if you know where to look for Moduli...

Bass Player Mag did a review of one, I think it was in 2004/2005. Check their website to see. I think it would be a great instrument.

I'd heard Mod was introducing a VJ5 to replace the Flea 5J's, but to date I've not seen or hear more than the random talk, unfortunately. The VJ5's would sell like hotcakes.

But if you can spring on one, esp with the Villex p/up's by all means grab it and run!

WELL WHEN AT WORK I USE A PROGRAM THAT REQUIRES IT, AND I AM APPARENTLY TOO LAZY TO MESS WITH CHANGING IT.
