Yep, this is a great price for a fully carved Wilfer even if it needs some work! (unless the sound isn't there).

From what you saw Jake, how much do you think repairs may cost?
I contacted the seller (no news back yet) and asked about the repair history and about playing it in person. I plan on meeting him at LA Bass Works so Lisa can evaluate it. If I do like it, I'll offer him $3000 in cash (maybe $3100 if he haggles me) and taking it right there and then. If it really does need work, the $500 I taken off (probably plus a little more) would be a good rough estimate for the repair. Thanks for all the information you all gave me. I'll keep you guys posted!
