Great sounding bass, but Felix needs to release a solo album.

He starts with a solo rendition of Black Old Sun ... a classic of the Grunge era

Alright...Fodera makes some great basses but this is the first time I'd say the tone on one really blew me away. Of course, I'm sure Mr. Felix's hands have something to do with that too

I think a lot of their basses have the pickups in the 70s position. This one is 60s. So it might also be partly that... in addition to the hands.

He really sounds like his father on a Jazz. That is probably why he plays Foderas.

He sounds nothing like his father to me, even when he's playing a jazz bass. And I don't mean this to sound like he sounds better or worse - I just don't hear Jaco in his playing the way I hear Jaco in Richard Bona's playing for example. Some of his phrasing reminds me of Victor Wooten, the way he sometimes embellishes the melody. But not that often these days.

Personally I don't care that much about his sound but his playing is really impressive.

That's what stuck out first to me, he's chording a 5 string like it was a 4 string banjo..
