Double Bass Felt Clips lost on fishman BP-100 any alternatives

I am using my other bass tonight, and I can't hot glue it will paper clips or maybe close line clips work?

I know this is too late for last night, but I was able to buy exact replacement clips from Fishman a few years ago.

You can get them from Lemur, Bob Gollihur and Elderly Instruments too. Heck, I have a spare set somewhere!

Put a tiny drop of super glue on each pickup element - it'll sound much better 'cause you won't get as much muting as you do with that heavy clip. Lot's of guys did this back in the day; Mike W. at David Gage's shop told me about it. When you're ready to bump up to a better pickup, you can use a razor blade to get the pickup off, and you won't know it's ever been there.

Yea it was just for that one gig, I used the binder clips and took of the metal part, they worked like a charm, it was a good temporary solution, it ws funny because one popped off at the last song and flew across the stage, right at the end of the song. No damage to the bridge or pickup.

Gollihur stopped selling them because the binder clips work better. I tend to not care much about my sound in amplified situations - I do want it loud and clear, so I use this system.

Just to correct the statement above, we actually do have the Fishman OEM clips (in stock) but they're pretty pricey at $22 a pair, so we usually recommend the binder clips...

A West coast friend of mine who worked in Larry Fishman's shop many years ago told me the superglue solution was Larry's suggestion, too.
