I'm not Justin, but I'll share some of my experience for you to do with as you please.
The sound you get from a felt pick is definitely unique. It's mellower, and it really softens the attack, so if you're looking for attack, they may not be for you. Moreover, they're not very durable. For a 3 set gig, I could probably go through almost a dozen of them, because they're just not all that durable (Given, I'm not a gentle player). If you did want to try some, the only one's I even know of are Dunlops 8012s.
Two more options I would consider would be rubber picks, and Tortex picks. A company called Wedgie makes rubber bass picks. I've used some of these, and I think they might get you closer to a better tone with some volume and attack. I found they can sound pretty great, but rubber does weird things when your hand sweat. May not be a problem for you, but was for me.
The last option is Dunlop Tortex picks. They are made of some string material that has a noticeable difference in sound and feel to a regular plastic pick. I found they got me a solid picking tone, but didn't introduce all of the clickity clackityness that regular plastic picks give you.
Now, here's my 2 cents: Picks are pretty cheap. Try a bunch until you find one that sounds and feels like what you want. If you find none you like (like I did), then just use the 5 picks you were born with.
