Hi everybody!
I'm a long time fan of the Fender 8250 in the new design, the one from 2010 (as for the 7250), and used them on many basses in the past.
however, the last time I bought them for a bass with through-body design (a Precision USA Standard 2013), they had the "black/red" package, without any mention of the core shape.
I assumed they were hex core like the 7250 I used on other basses.
now I'm waiting for a 2008 USA Jazz Bass, and bought a new set of 8250, which I guess will come in the white package, that shows on the back the mention "hex core".
someone knows if the "red/black" package was round core? or the switch from the Mexican to the US made strings just put the hex core on every set?
however, I'll let you know if they feel the same as I remember
