Fender 9050 = "semi-modern", full-bodied punch with grindy mids, not overly thumpy or thuddy = great on a J-style bass.
GHS P Flats = "old-school", woody warmth with focused low-mid punch = great on a P-style bass.
I suppose the DR Legend (which I have as reference, so to speak) are closer to the GHS P as to the Fender 9050.
