Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass

I love my "Dyne".

Well, I must admit I put that in just to see how many people would take umbrage with it (and to use "aesthetically" in a sentence) and I'm surprised it took so long for someone to mention it.
I'm a matching headstock lover, but I'm also a pickguard lover...always a nice option to be able to change a pickguard and make your bass look different...the jack isn't really an issue, of course.

I suspect your plan all along was to be able to use "umbrage" in a sentence. Devious, very devious.

Thanks, that figures. I don't mind the pickup planform so much, now that I know what Messrs Nordstrand and Novak are capable of, but the import status may be an issue. I have friends who are much more versed than I in Import law, I'll go ping this off them and get back. Thanks! Boy, those black basses just make me drool-- thinking I need a new fretless!

Hey, I have to tell you guys while I'm thinking about it how much I dig that I can talk to you all like reasonable educated people. I don't get a lot of it in my life at the moment, and I appreciate the chance to bug y'all. Thanks! Hope I can be a little entertaining in the process

every time i think i have no GAS i see an aerodyne on TB and start wondering if i should 'investigate'. i really like the looks/contours of the instrument. Malak the Mad has/had a wonderful collection: envious. and although i play fretless, a fretted aerodyne might just be the ticket for a fretted bass.

OP: hope you get what you want!

I thought the same as you, and actually am the 2nd most recent owner of his non export red one. I wasnt really a fan of the tone...so it's gone now :). unfortunately she was more a looker than player
