I just bought a Fender American Jazz Bass Deluxe V.
It's just a fantastic instrument! I just love it!!!:)
It sounds good in both active and passive mode BUT the volume difference between the modes is huge!
Is there a way to tame the active setting down? Like install a internal trim pot or something?
Right now I can't use both settings at the same show (gain setting on my amp).
Thanks!:)

Wouldn't it be easier just to turn the volume down using the V-V controls when using the preamp, and turn it up when in passive? Do you foresee a reason why you'd switch in the middle of a set? Other than to make the soundman crazy, which is an acceptable goal.

I switch a lot between song in my cover band, depending on the song and I need more consistency. My pedalboard reacts differently between the different outputs. That's why:)
