Details

I was able to recently purchase my dream bass, so I’m letting go of everything I can to pay it off. I have for sale a 2018 Fender American Professional Precision Bass. I can definitely say that the new Fenders are some of the best they’ve ever made. Nice and light weight, with a tight neck pocket and excellent balance. This is actually the lightest bass I’ve owned that also has great balance. It must be due to the new tuners. Bass plays and sounds excellent. I swapped out the pickguard to a genuine Fender black/white/black guard, installed a Fender A-string retainer, and it sports a new set of Thomastik Infield jazz flats that aren’t even broken in yet. It’s in great shape overall, just a couple small dings on the body and on the neck (shown in the pics). The previous owner did install a bridge cover at one point. The holes aren’t perfectly straight, but I’ve never used a cover on this bass anyway. Bass comes with the original hard shell case.

Price: $949 plus actual shipping. US sales only please.

Edit: The bass weighs 8 lbs even according to the ol' bathroom scale method.

I have this bass in the same color and also decided to go with a black pickguard. I feel like the girl at the prom with the same dress but I'm not changing it. And I agree that they are some of the best Fenders out there. Classic looks, flawless construction and the lightweight tuners are a nice touch. The neck on mine is as good as any I've played.

You look gorgeous in that dress. Never change for anyone!

Excuse the noob question. Do you have to detach neck on these to adjust the truss rod?

I’m not a Fender guy, but that’s a nice looking bass.

These American Professional P-Basses are really nice and very well-made. I have an Olympic White one that has had the neck/fretboard plek’d, and which has Aguilar pickups installed and it is one of my “go to” basses, particularly for blues, classic rock, and country gigs. I did a few recording sessions with that bass, and the sound engineers also loved it.

Canada and Mexico are on the North American Continent. Many more countries in Central and South America. They are all Americans too.
