Fender American Professional series discontinued?

Probably not for another year or two will they makeover the player series. Maybe longer. Its not out that long yet. Or is it?
If Fender renew their series every four years and the Player series were launched in 2018 a revamp should be expected by end 2021 with availability in 2022.
Same with the Pro series.
American Standard discontinued end 2016.
American Pro started in 2017.
In October 2020 Am Pro II shown and probably fully available by end 2020 or beginning 2021.
I do not know if music instruments have seasonal peak sales, I would say the do, on Christmas people receive also music instruments as gifts so, as a marketing rule it might work. October 13th, meet the "new" series, place order within mid November and get your new bass for Christmas.
Prices will increase, I am ready to bet.
I am also ready to bet that we will see better P-basses with some Limited Edition in 2021 with the 70th anniversary.
Looking back at recent years I still think the 2012-2016 American Standard are the best Fenders and they will hold their value in future.
The American Professional? Time will tell.

We are just a few days away from October 13 and I have to say that I am pretty interested and I am waiting to see what Fender is going to unveil. I'm not really looking to buy anything and I don't have any GAS but Its something that I want to see what they offer. Hopefully that date is accurate and not a smoke screen. Anyone else getting an appetite?
A few weeks ago a site in Europe prematurely posted the new line.
They are tweaking the V mod pick up.
And changing a few colors, The antique olive is gone, but they’re adding a couple of interesting bursts.
Maybe something with the frets, but I can’t recall right now.
But that’s basically it, nothing major.
Would love to see the vmod tweaked or replaced. For pbass I’d like to keep the pro 1 neck profile but contour the heel. Is it dreaming to ask for stainless steel frets?
