Has anyone tried one of these yet? Just seen them and wondering whether it might be an adequate replacement for my stupidly sold 68 telecaster bass. I did try a custom shop version for a while but never really bonded with it.

Fender American Vintage II 1954 Precision

I got a sunburst one. I love it. Plays, sounds, and looks amazing. If you appreciate these single coil basses in any iteration, I think you'd appreciate it. There's a few people in American Vintage ii leak thread that have one. So far I think all solid reviews.

I recently acquired an American Vintage II '54P and it's the first P bass I've fully bonded with. The flats on the bass just sound great.
If I'm not mistaken, you're are a big fan of the Fender Super Bassman amp. Mine is at my nephew's where we did some recording back in Spring 2022. I can only imagine running my '54P into this amp. I think the tone will be epic, especially in the Vintage mode.
I don't think you will be disappointed if you acquire this bass.

Bones
I had started a thread awhile back as I was also curious. Ended up getting one but was not a home run for me. I like chunky necks but this was almost U shaped, not C like they described. I’m fairness, these would have been more U shaped to be spec accurate, but it wasn’t for me. Everything else about them was awesome tho.
Would anyone have comments on how this compares to the Squier version of this early 50s single coil precision?
