Fender Bassman 100T - chapter 2

It's sitting there for you, Dan. Just let me know when you are ready. To be fair to GK I suppose I should have pointed out that it sounds amazing with my Markbass amp, I just prefer sealed cabs with tube heads. The Sadowsky bass is fabulous, best action I have ever had and the neck almost zero relief with no fret buzz at all!

Over the weekend I joined the "broken top handle" club. That thing has a terrible design - all rubber with no reinforcement. Fortunately the person carrying it caught it before it fell. Fender should just stop adding that handle so people don't think it is for carrying the amp.

The guitar player from my band has a Fender Deluxe with a broken handle, and he replaced it with a length of Cat-5 cable, run back and forth between the eyelets several times. It's been on there for 10 years with no signs of wear. Might be worth a shot.

Thanks for the warning on that, arock, it might save a few people from tragedy. In a perfect world Fender would issue a retrofit to swap it, but we all know that won't happen so a headsup is worth a lot. I love these new Fender amps, they are without a doubt the best new tube heads I have played in a long time but I do wish that Fender had an active representative on this forum who would respond to any questions.
