Fender Bassman 300 Pro settings

Hey guys/girls, I'm kinda new to the forum so I wanted to officially say hello to everyone. I tend to be more of a lurker than a poster so this will be my first official post.

I just picked up a Fender Bassman 300 tube monster and an SVT 610 and was just curious what some of you other Fender owners were using for settings on yours. I play mostly metal and have some settings i tend to stick with, but i wanted to try some of the settings you guys are using.

So lets see what you all play with.

I put the Master VOLUME on about 7 or 8(outta 10), then adjust chan. volumes to suit the needed volume. I often have ch.1 & ch.2 set at the same ch. volume each, then set the ch. 2's gain(overdrive) at about 6 or 7, then use that channel blended w/ ch.1( about 70% ch.2-dirt, & 30% ch.1-clean) or sometimes blend more of the dirty Ch.2 in, & switch it in or out using the footswitch.
Sometimes I also use the footswitched EQ- with a bit of lows & mids boosted- for use with a very dirty ch.2's OD.
Comp- I often use but generally leave it in it's centre detents. I don't USUALLY use the mid notch/bright or deep switches- unless I'm playing in a room thats horrific acoustically & I don't notice 'till we're playing.
SUCH a VERSATILE AMP- I love it. If U need more detail on my settings PM me &/or email me & I could perhaps PHoto 'em 4 U!

I used to run the compression quite high (like on 8) and put bass and treble on 7, then add a little with the graphic wherever I found the room lacking (often boosting round 125 and 250 and then again at 4k)

I prefer to run the master volume round 5 and the gain round 4, that gets pretty damn loud and stays a bit cleaner than if you push the tube power section harder

I think if you turn louder than that, your speakers will probably start distorting anyways

I use a Sunn 300T.. same amp ... sort of..

I run the master vol and chan 1 @ 3-4 (this gets higher when playing live..)
Bass: 7
Treble: 6
No graphic EQ. Did it just when I changed PU's in my Jazz... but skipped it shortly thereafter..
Comp unit is set to 4.. on every knob..

This is based on what basses and styles Im playing.. there is nothing metal about me or my stuff.. so.. don't think itl work for you..

One thing I can say however is: You CAN'T go wrong with that amp..
