fender bassman 6g6b as a head?

obviously it would probably “work”, but i’m just curious about people’s experiences with how this head sounds with bass. comparable to a b15?? i’m talking about the blonde era of piggy back bassman amps btw.

IMO, the 212 speaker cab was the wink link in this particular offering. Still, the cab is adequate for the 40-or-so watts the amp is capable of producing, it's just that there's no 'magic' in the sound of it. The head sounds pretty good with something like a JBL D, K or E-140 in a similar sized cab.
