Fender Bassman

I found an old fender bassman stack at the club I played tonight. It's been there for about 4 years according to the owner. I believe that the cab is one of the 2x15 cabs. It looks to be a match with the head. The owner believes the equipment to be around '66 or '67. Does anyone have any idea on these pieces of equipment, as far as value goes? I might have a chance to purchase this. I know these are not very popular, so if anyone has any info. Please throw some, Thanks!

Pics please.

Is the head blackface or silverface? If the age is correct, it ought to be 2x12, and could be either black or silverface, probably silver. Condition is a big deal with these. Value? I really don't know, but a pristine blackface 2x12 has got to be worth some significant bucks.

As far as popular, bite thine tongue lad... The sheet inside the head with tube placement will have a two LETTER code stamped on the thing, this is the date code of manufacture. Depending on age and condition of the thing the set could be worth anywhere from $500 to $2000. But just sitting around a club? YUK

The older they are the more they are worth, the better the condition the more they are worth. Whatever is inside the cab for speakers determines what the cab is worth.

Heads usually go for $500 and up and cabs $200 and up. Any thing less is a steal. One in total distruction in need of resto could be way less. BOB

This Cab and head are in really great shape. The club really isnt aclub per say. It;s more of a byob club and you get the door. It;s all silver faced. Really nice condition. Unfortunately I can't get pic's. I couldn't get a good look at it. It was pressed up against a wall with some drums and a piano around it. He said it belongs to afriend of his and it's been sitting there for about 4 years. He said he would talk to the guy and see what he wanted to do.
