Fender BXR 100

I can't find much info about this one on the net. Does anyone know what it listed for? I know someone who is selling one (used) for $200. Also, if anyone has one, I would love to know your opinion on it. Thanks.

I use one for practice. $140 on E'bay. I't got an eq. so I can tune in whatever sound I want. I chose this over a new cheap practice amp. You can download the manual a Fender.com

They're kinda boxy-sounding, not hi-fi. They sound like a bass amp-heavy lows and mids. Loud enough to cut through a band. Might want to try bargaining on the price.

The BXR 300 and 400 are solid, good-sounding heads that can probably be found for cheap. The BXR25 is (IMO) one of the best-sounding small practice amps from the mid-'90s.

I used to own a BXR200. Extremely loud amp! $200 is too much for a BXR100 though unless it's in mint condition! Offer $150 and see what happens!

heavy lows and mids

I'm starting to notice this, is there something that can be done to bring out the highs? Does anyone know how this one would stack up against a current Bassman 100? Thanks.

Used one for rock and gospely type stuff for a decade. Very mid boxy. Has a graphic eq + two shelving style controls, + a couple of preset type buttions - notch, deep etc.

Sounded better with my passive american jazz than my stingray

Not to resurrect a severely old thread, but, I have a BXR100 with a blown speaker, Anyone have any idea If I could buy a replacement or should I just buy a new amp?
