Fender BXR 300C ... Opinions?

Hey all ..

I have a line a Fender BXR 300C for $250.00. Anyone here use one, or have used one, or have an opinion on it? Is that price good, etc.

I used to own a BXR 400 head & thought it was great. I hung on to that thing for almost 15 years. An overlooked offering from Fender. And I still own the BXR 4x10 cab that I got with the head.

I also had a BXR 100 combo that was a fine amp too.

I've got an old BXR-300R head that I bought for $100 about 10 years ago.
Its loud and always seems to work, but the sound is kinda so-so...

Actually I own a 300C. I like it a lot, especially for deep lows. It's also pretty easy to use and somewhat portable for what you get. I am selling mine for $325, only because I have a 600W Carvin that my brother lets me use. You will thoroughly enjoy it if you buy it!!

i own one. paid $300 for it a couple years back and i've never regreted it. truth is you might find one a bit cheaper if you look around long enough, but i would recommend taking it at 250. great amp.

If it's in real nice shape, ok. If not, make an offer. Sounds a little high. Check evil-Bay.

It's a HEAVY amp. The plywood they used is like an inch thick. But it sounds good IMO.

I removed the head and mounted it in a rack with an eden WT600. Now I got a 3 channel 900 watt tri-amp setup......kind of.

The 300C has some really nice lows and crisp highs. It's not punchy though.

The eden fills in the mids nicely.

If you can find one get a 300R and use a separate cab.

I used another guy's at practice and was very impressed with it. You cant go wrong with it, unless the speak is bad.

I use one at the place where we practice. It has a JBL D140 in it.
Sounds great! The JBL makes it REALLY heavy. I never move it.

thats my thoughts on the combo. 250 is o.k. deal if it needs to be cheaper AND LOUD!!!

aaron could later add a tech21 bddi to warm up the tone...
