Fender CIJ PB70-70US Pickup

I have an '01 Fender CIJ PB70-70US and I'm just curious as to what pickup it has.

The previous owner told me that it's a Japanese standard P pickup, but other sources have told me that it's a US vintage P pickup (and if so, is that the original '62 P pickup?)

Thanks.

It will indeed have a MIA pickup. The same as the American standard I believe, not the Fender original. The Fender original (62) has raised bevelled pole pieces and cloth wire, the Am standard (and Hwy1) has flush pole pieces with plastic coated wire.

Nice bass you have there by the way. I've played one and it was top quality, very light too. Wish I'd bought it while I had the chance.
