Fender Coronado II on the way

Just ordered a Fender Coronado II re-issue, and now comes the wait for the big brown truck. I'm a bit leery, never having ordered a bass I didn't actually play ... really, this is the first bass I didn't buy locally. If it lives up to Fender's hype (and the owner reviews) I think I'll be pleased, and that it'll be great for my country band. I'll post a review of my own once I get it set up and play a gig with it (next weekend).

Good review of the Coronado and the Starcaster in last month's Bass Player. I have a Starcaster and like the variety of sound it provides. Enjoy it!

I've been thinking about the Starcaster on and off, love the looks of it, just need to find one to play in person. Coronado II is super cool as well.

Is the review in Bass Player available online?

One issue for me is the placement of the volume controls. The neck volume is right by the pickguard, almost underneath.

Of course depending on how often you use the control, that might not be an issue, and you could simply take off the pickguard.

Although it still seems like an odd placement.

But--maybe that's not an issue for you.
