Sunday afternoon here with snow. Time to learn some new material.
I'm a huge snowmobiler, so I am jealous of your snow. Squat here in Toronto.

I've had the chance play and own Custom Shop & Masterbuilt, for the money, the Custom was a better ROI for me. The CS was half the price of the MB and played and sounded just as good to me. I currently play my 2017 CS Postmodern Artisan Bass the most. Jazz Neck, '62 P/Us, Passive and feels like butter. List in high $3ks, but can be had for less then that. Love it.I’ve never felt going Masterbiilt was worth it for those prices...they charge more than Roger Sadowsky, Jimmy Copollo, and John Suhr, three builders of equal regard in my book, and I’m a big fan of Jason Smith’s and Todd Krause’s works, but the “Fender tax” is a too much for me...I can understand someone dreaming of a Fender of particular specs their whole life, finally being able to make it happen , and going Masterbuilt...dreams are worth whatever the cost if you can pay for them...I’ve been really happy with the three Teambuilt basses I have owned and can’t imagine them not doing it for me from now on..

Thanks sneha, I agree. The binding is not something you see everyday, which is part of the reason I love the 2017 vs the 2018 Spalted Maple (which is still very nice). The other reason is it is very light, which is not often said about Fender basses.I love the flame, burst and binding on this bass. The new Artisan bass does not have that. Still nice with the spalted maple and natural finish, but I think they hit it out of the park with the first new of this model.
Wow...is that ever sharp!!! Very nice. Congrats. Thanks sneha, I agree. The binding is not something you see everyday, which is part of the reason I love the 2017 vs the 2018 Spalted Maple (which is still very nice). The other reason is it is very light, which is not often said about Fender basses.
Me too..!..never knew you were so close..Actually near Washington DC.
What a fretboard ... drooldrooldrooldroolI have been admiring the Fender Postmodern bass for a few years now as it has several features I really like: P bass body, jazz width neck, lacquer finish, lite relic, bone nut, slanted tuning posts and Closet Classic hardware. In 2018 they added the hand wound 62 pickup. I finally found a good deal on one with the appointments I was looking for. The photo here is not the exact bass, but looks just like it. Should be arriving by Monday. I know GAS strikes again!
