nice copy. FYI your bass has the red spray, all the way around. Fender only sprayed red where they had to. they did not spray red where the pickguard was going to cover it.
Jaco's did not have red on the bottom "horn".

I own a '71 P-bass that's missing it's decal. I haven't replaced it because I'm not wired that way. To each his own.
The headstock is the wrong shape to be a Fender anyway. Anyone with half a brain would spot that, so I can't see the harm.
There was no decal, because it's not a Fender neck!

I often considered building a Warmoth or USACG Jazz bass clone. Part of the design included a Fender decal. It just looks right. I ended up buying my spec bass already built by someone else used. Yep - it had a Fender decal. That's the way it should look. There's no doubt my 11 lb walnut bodied clone is NOT a Fender product and could never pass as such. But the sticker completes the look just as the chrome control plate does.

Slap a decal on it. I hate when basses are missing them. Dont let anyone tell you what to do with your bass.
Go ahead and put one on. I know numerous guitar players who do this to custom necks they have made. Listen to your self. It does'nt make you a poser, it makes you someone with a Fender decal on your headstock. I would consider the same thing in your shoes if the quality matched anything U.S. built. Go for it.
