Fender Deluxe Jazz MIA. Should I Get It?

Definitely not worth it in my opinion. I closely watched eBay auctions for MIA J-basses before I picked up mine (through TB), and can tell you that used 'like new' Deluxe J-basses routinely sell for around $1000 or less, even after Fender's price hike.

Really? I mean, I saw all of the ones going for $350+, but that didn't seem right at all. Is there a reason for that? I mean, they went for $1800 new even before the price hike

MIM = Made In Mexico. They can be had for around $400-500
MIA = Made In America. They can be had for between $700-$1000

That eBay price is too much. Just keep searching here on TB and buy one.

As an example. Here is a Fender Jazz for sale here on TB for $850.

Yeah I know, but the ones I saw on eBay were MIA, and as low as $350. What's the deal with that? Is there a huge difference between MIA and MIM?
