Fender Finish

i just sanded all of the paint off my fender jazz. the wood is beautiful. what kind of finish should i use to acheave a clear glossy coat, without negative effect on tone?

Many coats of polyurethane.

Fender uses enamel these days, yo can also look at catalyzed lacquer or nitro lacquer. If you do not hve spray equipment, yo can get spray cans of either enamel, poly, or lacquer at your local home center. Minwax has a nice lacquer spray, and poly. There are hundreds of brands for enamel, such as Rustoleum, Krylon, Painters ouch, Home accents, etc.
