Fender Flea Active Jazz Bass Discontinued?

Any word if the Flea bass has been discontinued? It is not available in Fender.com,
Limited quantities in online stores, any word on this?

It is an amazing bass but I own one and couldn't be happier but I can see how it is not for everyone. I can't say I am surprised if that is the case.

Someone quoted from an email from Fender about this earlier today, can't remember which thread, sorry. But it said yes, discontinued.

The Flea Signature Active Jazz Bass, Maple Fingerboard has been discontinued as of 11/20/20. We are still producing the Flea Jazz Bass, Rosewood Fingerboard, Roadworn Shell Pink. Currently there are no plans on releasing another Flea signature model.

That's too bad. It is a really great bass. Glad I got mine when I did. I had been thinking of it since it came out and this last time I thought "I bet they're going to discontinue this soon" and bought it and it is now one of my favourites. I can't say I'm too surprised though. Most Fender people wouldn't like it because it's not a P or a J and a bunch of others seem to think it is the same as a Stingray, which I don't find.

I have the shell pink version and I love it ! it reminds me of a 55 Cadillac, smooth jazzy and powerful. I am glad it is disscontinued it will make my value go up and not see them everywhere like the Geddy lee signature model. I am happy it was also only made in USA also but im sure a MIJ version would be just as nice if not better.

The bass is Fenders stingray. It offers the same tone a musicman can offer but sporting a nicely shaped Jazz bass body and 22 frets with a warmer tone. I have owned both and I still have the Flea and it's my favorite.

I wonder if Flea is going to a different company. Maybe back to Modulus, although he'd have just as bad a time of getting one as the rest of us do. I'd say MusicMan, but there is a very clear reason why he will never endorse their products.
