So I was wondering if anyone that owns a Fendewwhas had any issues with their Fender Signature Jazz Bass with Buzzing and Humming extremely loud, I’ve tried regrounding every component that should be grounded including the Bridge. I’m seems like the buzz and hum gets louder when I touch the bridge strings or any of the pots, if anyone has any info or advice of what I should try next to remedy the this issue, i would greatly appreciate it. Hmmm, did you intend to put this thread in the TalkBass Double Bass section? While there are double bassists who do also play electric bass, and it's very common for double bassists to use amplification, you may find more help about this in the TalkBass Bass Guitar section. If this was a mistake, you can request a mod to move this thread for you.

Oops thanks for the heads up didn’t realize it was in the wrong section.
That’s typically a symptom of the output jack being wired backwards (hot and ground reversed).
Thanks for the advice I will take a look at the output Jack again maybe I missed that.
No sir, this Bass has not been shielded yet, those were my intentions next if I don’t find any other issues, it’s just that it’s so loud when it Hums I just wasn’t sure of there was an actual Issue, such as maybe a grounding problem or miswire or even a bad pickup.

I had a similar experience , I was not in love with the OBP 1 so I switch to a 2 band Nordstrand pre and now is dead quiet
