Not that this club isn't one of the coolest on TB (seriously, one-off- or 250-off Fenders- are my favorite instruments) ----
But - Has anyone tried to start up a thread to count up all the "Hand Stained" basses? There should be 1000 --- I wonder if we could get half in a club here on TB.
Also -- I'm so sad that I didn't get a signed and numbered...
The hand-stained basses are a subset of FSR, so hopefully they will show up here.![]()
i wanted, and still want one sssooooo bad. About a month ago one sold on ebay for 750.00, wish i had the money....Well - there are a TON of hand-stained guys here already (myself included) -- jw if there was a thread/club for hand stained FSR owners

Speaking of which, whatever became of the "2012 amber hand-stained ash American Standard" basses? I bought one, loved the tone and light weight, hated the blotchy orange finish. Took it back. Subsequently they disappeared from the GC site and stores. Sold? Recalled? Anyone know?

Can't decide if I want a black or tort pickguard on a natural finish
Which do you guys think looks better?
