Fender highway one Jazz

Hi guys
I’m looking to buy a 2013-2014 fender highway one Jazz bass.
The seller said it’s made in USA.
It has a maple neck with maple fretboard. I can’t find any of these online.
Does anyone know if maple fretboard was an option on these??

I don't recall the Highway One basses having maple fretboards; all I've seen and played were rosewood. Secondly, I think they were discontinued prior to 2013 (IIRC 2011, but I could be wrong).

The serial number comes up as corona USA which is suppose is good

It looks like a string-through body, so that would not be a Highway model of any sort. The American Standards/Professionals have string-through bodies - this might be one, but I'd need better pictures of the headstock to confirm.

I looked up American standard jazz bass and the first one that came up had a maple fretboard so I’m thinking your spot on.
Can’t tell you how better I feel as I was worried it was a copy.

The tuners look like Hipshot HB-1. Not what you’d normally see on a American Standard. Replaced? Or parts bass?

I think what you are looking at is the American special bass. Those replaced the highway one just like the American performer replaced the special. Those are considered the entry point for fender American basses. The main differences are all those bases have the grease bucket circuit and different bridges than the standard and professional basses and they don’t have a hard shell case

Highway basses had a matte finish. That one for sure is not it.

maybe the American special, if not a parts bass.

Alright guys. I’ve finally picked up the bass. From the serial number it says 2007-early 2008
Comes with a fender shotgun case. What do I have?

The base is passive but apparently there’s a button on one of the volume or tone knobs I can press like change the sound

That will be the S1 switch. I`m thinking it`s a US Standard as they had the switch around 2007. The case was that shape in those years also. It has changed tuners but they are good quality.

It`s not a Highway one as they didn`t have string through bridges. Damm good basses those especially if you paid Highway money!
