it's my first post so Hallo to everybody.
I play in a soul/jazz/funk band, and i need some suggestion from you guys..
I owne a fender jazz american standard made in 1996, it's not the anniversary model even if there is the 50th logo on the back of the headstock.
It is passive, pau ferro fingerboard, alder body (i believe...it's painted in red), in-line 5 gotoh tuners, strings through body.
I love the sound of this bass, very very fender but i would like to upgrade it with an onboard electronic, just a 2 way but keeping the passive tone and obviously the active/passive switch.
Does anyone owne a bass like mine?
What are your impressions?
Have done any upgrade?
While looking around for the electronic i found at the store near my office a brand new MMiller 5 strings.
The second option is to trade in my American Standard for the MMiller...adding money..
What do you think about the MMiller 5 strings
In your opinion which bass is the best option?
