Natural or Sunburst w/ black PG, and a maple (preferably b+b) board. I know you didn't ask that last bit, but to me, it's an important part of the entire look.

I've got to say, that's a winning combo with the transparent black burst and white pearl guard.

I like this red/wine kind of color. I'm not even sure what Fender called it. It's a '78 so it came with a black pick guard, but I had it off the bass for years. When I finaly decided to put the guard back on, it didn't fit anymore, so I had it replaced.

Matching head stocks are soooooooooooo sexy... I have that blue MIM color jazz- poeple are always telling me how prretty it is- I heard fender only makes those sparkly colors in Mexico because of the chemicals they put out into the atmosphere!

Best color- fiesta red- no doubt!
