Fender Jazz Bass Japan RI doubt.

Hello fellas. I have a question about a Fender Jazz Bass Crafted in Japan I am about to buy. The guy who is selling the bass told me it is a japan RI 75, but the logo is the gold one, from 60' era. The bass have the block inlays and the trussroad is at the beggining of the neck.

Please tell me what do you think.

Can't really help, but I thought the 75s also had a bound neck.

The only jazz I remember with blocks and no binding was the Fender 50th Anniversary Jazz Bass:

Those don't even look like real blocks. They look more like adhesive inlays.

The doubt seems to be solved. The block inlays are in fact adhesives.... the dots are intact under the blocks. It is a 4 bolt neck and have the couper route on the bridge pickup.... it's a 62 RI I think....

It's worth mentioning that the standard, Made/Crafted-In-Japan is used to carry the model designation "JB62". Nowadays, they're usually listed as a part of the "Japan Exclusive" collection of models and has the "Classic '60s Jazz" designation, not to be confused with the MIM's of the same name.

In my opinion, FMIC should've rebranded them as "Classic '62 Jazz Basses", just to avoid potential confusion.

I made my research and the model is a JB62-75US, the one with alder and american pickups.

Hi guys, finally I bought the bass, put a nice Lindy Fralin's 5% overwounded and changed the pickguard. Now it's a nice sounding and looking bass! Some pics for you. Best regards!
