Fender Jazz Bass MIJ JB30 and JB40: What's the differences?

I just purchased a 1994 Fender Jazz Bass MIJ and noticed in the stamps at the junktion off the body and the arm some acronyms. Som e of them i can't identify:

JB-STD = Jazz Bass Standard
JB 62 = Jazz Bass model 1962
3TS = Type of sunburst color
10 -- 94 = ? looks like a fabrication date
JB-30 = ? Have no idea

I noticed some Jazz Basses are called "JB-40", but there's no much information about JB-30. Somebody has any clue?

More than a year after that i launch this thread, the only information that i have is: "JB30", "JB40" and "JB45" reffers to the selling price in Japan at that time, in case 30.000 ienes, 40.000 ienes and 45.000 ienes. But still don't know what makes them different in terms of components.

the strange fact is that it seems to be information about such coding only in the neck pocket.. Maybe is the wood body type? But I think most of them would be basswood..
