It was a typo, I meant PJ-455. My bad.

Oddly they also called the Boxer P-J without the switch and tbx to PJ-555

The Jazz Bass Special was not offered in yellow.

iirc, only the PB-551 was offered in yellow.

Welp, I stand corrected. That's like seeing a unicorn.

I've seen every color, even the seafoam green ones, but never a yellow one. That's crazy rare.

Here's the 2nd video with my '86. I plan to record something with all of them but so far this is the best sounding that I have.

On the PB551. Its logical that all colors shown would be for all models, but no existing pic of the PJ-555 in yellow on the internet. Until Vic showed theirs.

I did now find a pic of a 535 though.

I can't remember exactly but If I'm not mistaken you can find the color options/model in the catalog but I'm not sure. I seen one for sale years ago but never again.

Its in the catalog alright, but I've been searching far and wide for a pic of one in yellow. It seemed like it was a myth.

Now I can finally say that I've seen all colors.

    So there's:
    Pearl white
    White
    Red
    Burgundy metallic
    Pewter metallic
    Yellow
    Seafoam green
    Black

unless there's another color I forgot about

I was such an idiot when I missed a seafoam back around September/October for a crazy fair price.

aye. I missed a pewter one for really cheap too. Dinged up pretty bad, but I wanted another color than pearl white. Than just as I got the scratch, it got sold. Got a pearl white one now, it's iconic but people think it's a Duff siggy.

I'm kinda tempted to get one of those brand new Sherwood green ones, just to harvest its body and place my original electronics in it.

So, this may be old news, and it's certainly not literally "84 - 87", but has everyone seen this?

    Boxer™ Series Precision Bass® | Electric Basses

Despite being called a "Precision", the headstock clearly says "Jazz Bass Special". They're even bringing the F knobs back.

  20. I wonder what that will do to vintage F knob prices on eBay.
