Fender jazz MIM 60s

For three years I have owned a 2007 MIM 60's Jazz from the Classic series. It is one of the best basses in my collection (check sig). It is made to vintage specs (reverse tuners are pretty neat), has a deep tone and great feel, great neck and fantastic tone. Only negative I see is the weight. It is heavier than an American standard, but some guys like a bit of weight. I use flats on mine and it made it warm enough to sound almost like a P bass.

I've stated this in a post some time ago. If I were stuck on an island and could only take one bass, this would be the one. This is the one that bass that I measure all my others by. If they can not match the feel or sound better than the 60's Classic, then It doesn't belong.

Also try the 60's RoadWorn Jazz, they are both great basses.

I just picked up a MIM Classic 60s Jazz Bass used from GC during its big 4th of July sale ($275). This is a solid bass, to be sure. There are attention to details that seem missing on regular MIMs (which I really like), the most notable of which are the vintage tinted neck and the lack of the disfiguring hole in the body under the pickguard.
