Fender Jazz Volume Drop

Fender American Standard. When the bridge pickup is engaged the volume of the d string drops considerably. I have never seen anything like this and not sure where to start. The guitar is probably under warranty, but it's probably to much trouble to ship it back for repairs. Thanks for any suggestions.

First I'd check and IMO use the warranty if you have it.

It could be a hassle but, then again so is the volume problem.

If you aren't covered under warranty then you should bring it to your local shop and have their luither check it out. I'd recommend GC's new guitar garage but, honestly I don't trust their salesmen and I doubt their luithers are any better.

So there's my 2 cents.

I have a problem similar to that with my curbow. The A string has like half the clarity that the rest of the strings have and I don't know why.
