Look closely at the strings over the bottom of the neck, does the "a" string look a little lower than the rest? look at the bridge, does the saddle for the "a" sring look lower than the rest? if your answer is yes than raise the saddle (two little screws) until the buzz goes away. If this does not work take it to get a fresh setup.
No offence, but it may just be you. Double check that the Bass is in tune. Then check the bridge saddle. You may want to tighten the entire bridge down. Fender workmanship has been pretty shady lately.
