My first post.
I started playing bass in 1964. Back then you could buy Jazz Basses at the local hock shop for $75-100. I had a lot of them and precisions as well. Never got to buy one new (too poor). At the time they were $399 new. Had a few EB0s and EB3s too. Played NW rock and roll at teen dances (yes they used to dance then)
Anyway.....questions
In the mid 90s I bought a new mexican jazz bass just for nostalgia. I have never played it. It's a sunburst with white pick guard.
Does anyone sell a tortoise shell pickguard that will directly change out with the white one I have? (They used to come with tortoise shell)
They used to come with a Bridge cover, pickup cover and thumb rest too. I used to promptly take off the pickup cover and I never used the thumb rest but I left it on.
I'd like to get a bridge cover. Will there be any trouble fitting one over the modern Mexican bass's bridge?
Thanks for reading
