Fender MIJ 75 RI

Does someone know where i can buy a Fender Jazz JB 75 US/FC made in Japan.I want one and i can't find one anywhere around(Montreal Canada).
And how much do they sell those in Canadian$ or US $

Why don't we see these basses on the Fender website and on Bass Central,Musicianfriend etc ??????

The JB 75 US/FC is made for the Japanese market ONLY, and Fender Japan is not allowed by FMIC to export these basses.

You used to be able to buy them from Ishibashi and other Japanese companies, but that has been stopped as well. However they are still available on ebay, but you'll have to pay more than you used to pay to Ishibashi.

But they are made by Fender in Japan right ? They are not copies by xxxxx company ?
When you had yours, was it better than brand new US ones ?

They are indeed made by Fender Japan, and are not cheap copies.

I wouldn't say that they're better than the US made JBs, but they are at least as good. The reason I bought this one instead of one the new MIA JBs is that I wanted blocks and binding, matching headstock and vintage bridge, and these basses are by far the best with those features unless you can afford a Fender Custom Shop.

Even though they're called JB75 they are not copies of 70s basses. They have the 60s pickup spacing, and the body wood is alder not ash, so basically they are copies of 60s basses with 70s styling.

I have the PJ model. I bought it new from Ishibashi this past April, and as far as I know, they still sell them to the US (and Canada). The exchange rate is terrible right now, so they will be expensive.
