I wish Fender would have come out with the Aerodyne Precision in the blue finish like they did with the jazz Aerodyne.

Placing my order for the blue one today. Looking forward to its arrival! I have wanted an Aerodyne (for the comfy body shape, not necessarily the PJ setup) forever, but I don't like all-black instruments. This blue, white, chrome, and maple setup is gorgeous, and I prefer the JJ setup in another bass as I already have 2 PJs, and only one regular J right now.

I ended up canceling the order after a few weeks. We have a contractor that has really screwed us in a kitchen reno, and I decided to cancel the order because we're staring down an additional $10k or so to finish the kitchen and deck project.

I see that these have arrived at Sweetwater and Musician's Friend now. I'm still contemplating getting one, but now it requires me selling a few other things. I have a potential sale of a Dean flying V for Monday. If I get that and maybe an amp unloaded, I may get an Aerodyne yet.

Weeeeeellllllllll..... between now and when I made the post above last evening, I received a late but very generous Christmas gift. I'll be snagging me a purty blue Aerodyne ASAP. Will report back upon receipt.

Low-drag NBBD! (New Blue Bass Day)

I got my Aerodyne Special! Posting the NBD thread here for folks who may come here looking for more info in the future.

How do you like your bass? I just ordered a used blue aerodyne.

It's my #1 by a wide margin, over 15 or so really nice basses. I have 2 more Japanes Fenders on the way to my house right now. We'll see if Callie (the name I've given that California blue Aerodyne J) retains her position at the top of the heap or is toppled from her throne!

Oh, I also got the white Aerodyne Special Precision. The bass is great, I just didn't jive with the stock pickup and swapped it out for a Geezer. Fantastic!
