Fender Modern Player Jazz Bass or Schecter Diamond J?

Hey guys.

I'm new here and I was wondering which bass I should buy. I currently have a Schecter Stiletto Elite. I'm deciding on which bass to purchase. Both the Fender and Schecter are the same price. Here's what appeals to me for each:

Fender:
Jumbo Frets
Dual humbuckers (come on )
Vintage bridge with brass saddles
It's a Fender

Schecter:
Monster Tone pickups
Grover Tuners
Maple neck

I prefer playing hardcore, metal, pop-punk and rock. I've heard the Schecter has a nice growl but you can't beat the tone and growl of a Fender with dual humbuckers.

Any experience or input would be much appreciated! Thanks!

The Schecter also has dual humbuckers with coil taps.

I've had several of the Diamond J's and they compete with US Fenders, IMO. Love those basses.

Fender modern jazz.

The fender twinjazz pickup was amazing in the american deluxe P bass (pre 2010).

Ugh I just wish the Guitar Center around me had either one of these basses so I could try one :/

My vote is for the MP jazz all day every day. I got one Saturday, haven't out it down since. I absolutely love it. Good luck with your decision. Cheers!
