Fender nickel 45-105 round equivalents

All the suggestions so far are good ones. But Fender web site has 7250 45-105s in stock. Nothing sounds closer to Fender strings than--Fender strings.

Hmmmmm, that’s also what I witnessed over the years…………

I've used Nickel Lo-Riders 40-100, Power Wound Nickels 40-100 and GHS Bassics 40-102, which are my top 3 all-purpose NPS rounds.

NLR vs. PWN... Very close in terms of overall feel with similar stiffness and tension; if anything, NLR might be ever so slightly smoother in texture. In terms of tone, NLR are smoother in mids, while PWN have a hint of grunt almost like the Boomers, which I like. It all comes down to value for money, PWN being the clear winner.

Agree - I have been using all SIT Power Wounds 45-105 on my electric basses in the last month and totally agree about them being Boomer-adjacent. I think I hear a bit of that low mid tone - the Fender nickel wounds sound different to me - more of that high mid bump I hear with Daddario XLs or maybe even Ernie Ball Slinkies. Just my ears and maybe others hear them differently.

Side note - SIT Acoustic Bass strings sound and feel really good as well. I also like their guitar strings but I’ll save that for a different forum.

But has anyone compared DR Nickels or SIT PW against Pure Blues or Dunlop Nickels? I heard the Pure Blues are more on the bright side? and I love the Dunlop Flats but never tried the nickels.
