Different color. That's a jewel color "Ruby" bass. Fender had a run for a couple years in Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald. All transparent finish colors.

Midnight Wine was a companion color to Midnight Blue, which were standard colors on Fender MIA instruments in the 92-ish era. Later both colors migrated to MIM instruments.

Yes, and it won't play anything by Gene Vincent or Elvis...
